To me, this solution above a much more appropriate workaround than repeatedly reinstalling software. While Mystic_Light_Service is pretty harmless, some services are more critical, so experiment at your own risk. There are other MSI-related services to toggle and see how Dragon Center reacts if the Mystic_Light_Service one doesn't work for you. The last two steps might work in reverse order, but I didn't get the error after that to test. An easy one is: Windows button+R then enter+run "Services.msc" * - There are several ways to open the Windows Services Manager. Go to the Windows Services Manager* and stop the service: "Mystic_Light_Service" After getting pretty frustrated and exploring a couple of different possibilities, this worked for me without having to uninstall/reinstall DC:ΔΆ. Following other's suggestions, I've reinstalled Dragon Center many, many times with it working for a day or two, but before long I'm back to "Waiting for SDK Initialization".
